Pope John Paul II greets Vincent P. Skowronski and his pianist, Saori Chiba, at an audience at the Vatican in the mid-1990s. During their exchange, the concert violinist presented the Pope with a sampling of his recordings. The Holy Father was very pleased with Mr. Skowronski's offering so, not surprisingly, the current line of Skowronski recordings is now in the personal possession of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II.
